What People Are Saying
“Tricia is not just a photographer; she offers a fully customized, high-end experience and genuinely cares about her clients and their stories. If you’re looking for someone who will bring your vision to life with exceptional care and craftsmanship, I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
— Julia M.“Tricia's professionalism and passion for photography were evident from the moment we arrived. Despite the early hour and chilly weather, she was full of energy and enthusiasm, which immediately put both Riley and me at ease. Her ability to connect with Riley and capture her personality and spirit was truly remarkable.”
— Erin D.“Tricia is an amazingly talented photographer! Her style highlights the beauty of her subject, in our case it was my daughter and her horse. She was able to really capture the bond between these two in such beautiful ways! Her use of the natural landscape made for a beautiful backdrop as well. HIGHLY recommend Tricia Charles Photography!”

We can hold the session the entire time with your dog on a collar and lead, if a harness is what you usually use, please also bring a collar, during the actual photo shoot, the harness will need to be removed if possible, but a lead and collar can be used in its place.

Most dogs are very excited to be the center of attention and are also distracted by the new environments. There are ways to focus a dog even if its just for a moment to capture those gorgeous shots. I recommend that if you have an active, young pup your dog will likely benefit from some exercise prior to the session. Take note: don’t wear your active dog completely out! If your dog is too tired or bored, they will look tired and bored in their photos.

Realistically speaking, the portrait session available have a great deal of value packed inside them and past clients have never said or suggested what Tricia offers is overpriced. In fact, most come back time and time again for more photographs!
Our Portrait Sessions, including investment values, can be seen on the Service pages. Full artwork guides can be requested prior to booking. Most clients tend to invest between $500 and $2000 on their photographic session and artwork afterwards.

Yes... just not one with four walls.
Rather than photographing in a traditional indoor studio, I create portraits outdoors using natural light and carefully chosen locations. The changing seasons, beautiful landscapes, and open spaces become part of every image, creating artwork that feels timeless and authentic.

Tricia Charles Photography is based in Grafton, Massachusetts, with most sessions taking place in carefully selected outdoor locations throughout Central Massachusetts and nearby areas.
For canine sessions, I typically photograph at a small collection of pre-selected locations near Grafton that offer beautiful light, natural scenery, and a safe, comfortable environment for dogs.
Equine sessions are usually held at your barn or another horse-safe location, which we’ll discuss together during your consultation. Senior sessions are planned based on the type of portrait experience you’re looking for, including whether your horse or dog will be part of the session.
Travel within 20 miles of Grafton is included. Locations beyond that may require an additional travel fee.
