Senior Portraits
The Story of Who You Are
Senior year marks a moment between what has been and what comes next. These portraits are created to honor who you are right now, the places that have shaped you, and the animals and people who have been part of the journey.
The Beginning of What's Next
The months before graduation pass more quickly than anyone expects. These portraits celebrate not only this milestone, but the relationships that made it meaningful. Whether alongside your horse, your dog, or on your own, we'll create artwork that preserves this chapter before life carries you forward.
Here what others say:
-
amazingly talented photographer!
“Tricia is an amazingly talented photographer! Her style highlights the beauty of her subject, in our case it was my daughter and her horse. She was able to really capture the bond between these two in such beautiful ways! Her use of the natural landscape made for a beautiful backdrop as well. HIGHLY recommend Tricia Charles Photography!”

I will treasure these photos for the rest of time!!
“I can not endorse Tricia enough. I am obsessed with my photos. She captured my horse in such a magnificent way. I am not comfortable in front of the camera at all and tend to HATE any pictures of myself that I didn't take, but she captured so many phenomenal photos of myself with my horse that i am proud to show them off!! She was so amazing to work with, such a calming presence for someone that is so uncomfortable in front of a camera. She was also so patient with my horse and me, as he was a little hard to work with, mainly just wanting to eat grass instead of looking at the camera even with the help of friends trying to get him to look. If you want equine photos, but are also a little self conscious like me, do it! She knows what she is doing. I will treasure these photos for the rest of time!!”

Every senior session feels natural from beginning to end.
-
1. Yearbook Photo
We begin with simple, unhurried direction that helps them settle into the camera without pressure or expectation. This first part of the session begins with their yearbook headshot, captured in a way that feels confident, natural, and true to them.
-
2. Individual Portraits
We then move into individual portraits, allowing space to ease into the experience and feel comfortable in front of the camera. This is also where we ensure there are meaningful images for parents and grandparents, capturing both timeless portraits and small, in-between moments that reflect who they are at this stage of life.
-
3. Shared Moments
Once they feel relaxed and confident, we begin to weave in their horse, dog, or both. These moments are never rushed or staged, instead unfolding naturally with quiet direction and real interaction.

Not at all.
Every horse has a different personality, and we'll work at their pace. There's no expectation that they stand perfectly still or perform on cue. Some of the most meaningful images happen in the quiet moments between poses.

Absolutely! Parents are always welcome and encouraged to attend the session.
If you're under 18, a parent or legal guardian must remain present for the duration of your session.
